The Middle East is an area where car is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.
But this year, as protests across the have actually risen the cost of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.
In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one company is making the most of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, already their client-list includes McDonald's.
